Will Microsoft finally unveil the rumored Surface Pro 4 this week?
As far as official announcements are concerned, there's still no confirmation about the laplet's arrival. But several rumors have indicated its possible launch this week, specifically on Wednesday, May 20. Earlier, we cited Christian Times for this particular info. But the speculation has been backed by several other news sites such as Slash Gear, stressing that the Surface Pro 4 reveal would probably be in mid-May. Trusted Reviewsmeanwhile noted that the Surface Pro 3 was also launched on that same date last year.
We still could not confirm whether this rumored Surface Pro 4 launch is indeed gonna happen this week as the Tech giant has remained mum about these speculations.
But several other speculations about the laplet's possible launch and release dates have been bombarding the web lately. This includes International Business Times which revealed that there are beliefs that the new device would likely come out in July, to coincide with the showcasing of the new Windows 10.
The Verge has already confirmed about the July launch of the Windows 10. In its report, it cited AMD president and CEO Lisa Su who said: "With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up."
Inquisitr says a different thing. It pointed out that the device would probably out in a different month, probably October. The news outlet cited as source industry analyst Paul Mueller who said: "The Surface Pro 3 is selling just as well as it did when it first came out. Even though people expected a June or July release for the Pro 4, it probably won't happen until Windows 10 is released. That way, Microsoft could capitalize on both Windows 10 and the new Surface Pro at the same time."
Motley Fool earlier predicted that the new device would just be an "enhanced version" of the Surface Pro 3, saying that the only improvement would be its processor. However, it also aired in a separate report the possibility of the laplet being LTE-capable.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is believed to have a 12-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. It is said to be powered by a 5th-generation Intel Broadwell Core chips. RAM is believed to be at 16 GB. It is also said to be fanless. As expected, it would also come out with a pen. Microsoft has yet to confirm these reports and speculations.
Let's wait if Microsoft is indeed gonna unveil its next Surface Pro laplet this week. We'll keep you updated so stay tuned!
