Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale will no doubt be a major success for the Playstation 3.
However, unlike Nintendo's diverse list of mascots Sony's has been developed by a number of different developers over the course of two decades. For those unfamiliar with the characters, Latinos Post is providing the latest news on each character as well as in-depth reports on their histories, move sets, and super attacks.
The beta version was recently launched on the PS3 and Vita for PS Plus Subscribers enabling players to try the game out. Among the characters available in the beta were Kratos, Parappa, Fat Princess, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, and Sly Cooper.
Coronel Radec is the main antagonist of Kill Zone 2 and is known for his ruthlessness in battle. In All-Stars he is a brutal attacker with a plethora of long-range attacks. However, he is poor in hand-to-hand combat due to his slow speed and limited options. He is most effective when he is far from other players and can blast them with his guns or grenades.
With the square button he will use the Gun Boot, Knife Blast, FSK Fury Combat Knife, and the Surprise Grenade. These are his weakest attacks and provide his best options in close quarters.
With the triangle button he executes StA3 Light Machine gun. If players hold down the triangle, this attack will have a longer duration. Other attacks include the VC32 Sniper Rifle, LS13 Shotgun, and the M327 Grenade Launcher. These attacks are potent from long range.
Finally, with the circle button he dishes out damage with the VC21 Bolt Gun, the TR-X Testile Grenade, the VC5 Arc Rifle, and the VC 1 Flamethrower.
For his first super Radec uses StA-X3 W.A.S.P. Launcher during which he controls a resticle and chooses where he can place his shot. The shot has limited range. With StA-5X Arc Cannon, his level two super, he fires a green energy blast that kills everyone in its path. With his final super StA-X6 Jetpack, Radec suits up, flies toward the foreground and then takes aim in first person to shoot down opponents. This is similar to Solid Snake's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
The game is slated for a November 20 release on both the PS 3 and PS Vita. Anyone who purchases the PS3 version will also receive a free download voucher for the Vita Version. Initial reviews for the Beta version have been mixed with complaints revolving around not being able to easily identify players' characters and balance issues between the characters.
