Only weeks after Sony revealed its new Xperia Z4 (at least on its Japanese website), more details about its rumored successor Sony Xperia Z5 and its Z5 Ultra and Z5 Compact variants have already come out.

Android Origin, the first to report about the new device, has argued that since Sony did not release early this year, it is likely that it would unveil a a "second flagship" later this year. It predicted that it might be announced at the fourth quarter of the year though release might happen next year. Another reason that might affect the handset's release date is the availability of its rumored processor which is the Snapdragon 820 chipset, though this is only for the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Ultra.

Now, on its new report, Android Origin detailed on the Z5 Ultra's and Z5 Compact's display sizes. The former is said to get a 6-inch display while the latter would likely get a 4.8-inch one. Android Origin lauded Sony's decision to make the Z5 Ultra on a 6-inches size, noting of Z Ultra's huge 6.44-inches size. Z5 Compact's size on the other hand might mean that its resolution would also be higher and could reach 1080 x 1920.

Aside from the new sizes, Android Origin also revealed that the new Xperia Z5 products would also get a new design.

"According to our source, Sony will be making a number of major changes to the design with the Z5 and the end result will be very different from anything we have seen earlier on an Xperia device. The design is said to draw heavily from the company's recent BRAVIA television sets and will feature a completely clean front end with a frosted glass effect. Sony's iconic logo will be moved to the side of the device, so no branding on the front whatsoever. Also as we mentioned in our previous report, the body will be thicker than the Xperia Z3 and Z4, with more angular sides. Interestingly, our source says the sides could actually be reminiscent of Sony Ericsson devices from the past. The Xperia Z5 Ultra and Xperia Z5 Compact should also share many of the same design cues as the Z5," Android Origin's Arjit Singh reported.

In its previous report, Android Origin also revealed about the new devices getting 4GB of RAM each. It also said that the Xperia Z5 Ultra would be the first Sony device to feature a fingerprint scanner through the Ultrasonic Sense ID from Qualcomm.

To date, Sony has not yet commented on this new speculation.
