Finally, "Jaws of Hakkon" is slated to roll out on the PlayStation4, Playstation3 and Xbox in May 2015.
The first DLC for "Dragon Age: Inquisition" was previously released for the PC and Xbox One earlier in 2015. According to Inquisitr, the reason for the delay on the latest update is that Game developer BioWare had an existing exclusive contract with Microsoft, which prevented them from releasing the add-on to other platforms for a few months. BioWare was also prohibited from talking about the subject or providing an official release date for other platforms, the news site added.
BioWare only announced the release date of "Jaws of Hakkon" on April 30. Based on their official Twitter account, the first "Dragon Age: Inquisition" DLC will be available on May 26, two months after it was released on the Xbox One and PC.
"Jaws of Hakkon" will cost $14.99, for the PS3, PS4 or Xbox 360 version.
The add-on will provide gamers with a new story, more maps, new quests, new enemies, rewards and all-new content. GameWatcher noted that "Jaws of Hakkon" is set during the main campaign of "Inquisition". Chris J Capel, who writes for GameWatcher, provided the following description about what gamers can expect from "Jaws of Hakkon":
1. There is a new area in Thedas called Frostback Basin, which is close to some of the bigger places in the game such as the Hinterlands.
2. It is also reminiscent of Morrowind, featuring overgrown woodlands and swamps.
3. Overall, Frostback Basin was well made with great textures.
4. The character Scout Harding also has more to do in the DLC.
5. Some players will be delighted to know more about the original Inquisition and Second Blight. There will not be new revelations about Corypheus, however.
6. To access the DLC, players should go into the game, proceed to the war table and then find Frostback Basin at the bottom left of the Fereldan map. Searching for the new area may initially be difficult for gamers since there are no instructions provided by BioWare.
7. Furthermore, gamers need to be at least level 20 to enter the DLC. Gamers who play at lower levels might find battles quite difficult.
8. The add-on should provide players with 8 to 12 hours of gameplay.
9. Those who experienced design problems in "Dragon Age: Inquisition" should not expect any big improvements in "Jaws of Hakkon".
Inquisitr added that BioWare has also confirmed that "Black Emporium", which allows gamers to change the appearance, voice and hair of their characters will also come in May, although an exact release date was not announced.
