Singer Demi Lovato has influenced millions of women young and old by posting photos of her healthy-looking body while sharing inspirational words, specifically targeting women who think that in order to be beautiful, one should own those ideal "thigh gaps".
Part of Lovato's World Tour was performing in Brisbane, Australia followed by other neighboring Asian countries. After her performance in Australia, she posted a photo of herself, dressed in ultra-short shorts and a beautifully designed black top with a caption that reads, "Phuckkk yo thigh gap... #latinacurves." Giving emphasis to the intentionally misspelled first word, she extremely blasts thigh gap which seems to be "a must have" among young women these days.
According to ET Online, Lovato has been posting a lot of photos of her beautiful Latina curves recently, not minding the lack of thigh gaps to flaunt. Prior to her Brisbane photo, she already posted a photo emphasizing that it is never necessary to have thigh gaps to become beautiful.
In her Instagram post, she showed her amazing body in a colorful bikini while sunbathing and feeling very comfortable. She captioned the photo, "Regardless of what society tells you these days... You don't have to have a thigh gap to be beautiful. It is possible to love your body the way it is. #fitness #health #acceptance #selflove."
"I keep hearing the term "thigh gap" more and more frequently. I feel like when things like that are set in society's ideal of what beauty is, and it's repeated over and over, it gets put into your brain," Lovato told ET.
However, despite the confidence and much empowered personality that Lovato owns, she was still pretty anxious prior to her performance in Australia, MTV revealed. MTV mentioned that Lovato posted tweets on her Twitter account, admitting that she was having the jitters and was pretty much nervous about rocking her stage outfit.
Nevertheless, it seems Lovato has done a good job leaving fans and spectators in awe. She certainly looks amazing, as evidenced by her post-concert photos gaining likes of up to hundreds of thousands, and counting. Lovato was killing it despite the numerous body-shaming incidents, MTV notes.
After her performance in Australia, Lovato is heading to other parts in the country, as well as neighboring countries such as New Zealand, in the end of the month, according to E! Online. Next month, Lovato will be traveling to Southeast Asia to continue with the world tour.
