Fans will be able to get a glimpse of the trailer of "Star Wars: Battlefront" this Friday, April 17, during the Star Wars Celebration.
"The team at DICE is zeroing in on the final details for our appearance at Star Wars Celebration and we're ready to make good on our promise to reveal more details around Star Wars Battlefront...It has been hard to keep these secrets from the community, but we're excited to announce that we will be hosting a panel at Celebration on April 17th, kicking off at 10:30AM PT, where we will debut the official reveal trailer for Star Wars Battlefront. Make sure to get to the show early to secure your seat. But that is not all... All attendees will have a chance to see gameplay behind closed doors during the show at our official booth along with a few other activities starting that Friday," an official statement from EA's Star Wars Community Team read.
But how about those who can't make it to the event? Don't worry, as it has already been announced that the Star Wars Celebration Anaheim event will be live streamed via StarWars.com through Verizon.
"Verizon and StarWars.com will deliver 30-plus hours of live streamed content following Thursday's Celebration kickoff, featuring over a dozen panels and events, including discussions with actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid, and several other performers associated with the Star Wars saga. Additionally, StarWars.com and Verizon will be live streaming the Star Wars Fan Film Awards; the Smuggler's Bounty radio drama; EA's new Battlefront videogame; and several other exclusive Celebration events that might otherwise be missed by members from Star Wars' global fan community," the announcement read. It also advised fans to check out the official Facebook and Twitter account of Verizon for updates about the event and for more video clips.
"Star Wars Battlefront" is rumored to come out this December to coincide with the release of the movie "Star Wars Episode 7: Force Awakens." This was backed by Christian Post which speculated that the new game would come out in "winter" and by Tech Times citing EA CEO Andrew Wilson's official announcement during an earnings call. GameStop Italy provided an exact date for the game's release -- December 10.
Venture Capital Post says the new game would cover the seven "Star Wars" movies -- from "The Phantom Menace" to "The Force Awakens." It added that the game has been tagged as the "most expensive" Star Wars game in history.
