Hillary Clinton is running for presidency again and she can at least be certain that she has former NBA star Magic Johnson's support.

The New York Times reported that on April 12, Hillary Rodham Clinton announced that she is seeking the presidency for the second time.

Clinton said, "I'm running for president. Everyday Americans need a champion. And I want to be that champion. So I'm hitting the road to earn your vote - because it's your time. And I hope you'll join me on this journey."

TMZ reported that the former Los Angeles Lakers star shared his excitement upon hearing that the former First Lady is running for president again. In 2007, Hillary also ran for the seat and was backed by Johnson. Obama won that time. Now, Magic made it clear that he is willing to support her again in the same endeavor.

The ex-guard posted on Twitter on April 12 using his account @MagicJohnson, "[Cookie] and I are thrilled that @HillaryClinton announced today that she will be running for President!"

He continued, "I feel @HillaryClinton will be a great President for the American people and she will make sure that everyone has a voice!"

Johnson tweeted based on a report by The Daily Caller, "@HillaryClinton will fight for the poor, middle class and embrace young people!"

The next day, Johnson continued to post on the social media site voicing out his support saying, "I'm even more excited today than I was yesterday that @HillaryClinton is running for President! #Hillary2016".

He added, "Those that should be excited with me are all young people, low income families, Latinos, African Americans and all minorities! #Hillary2016"

Sports World News wrote that Johnson is known to be a Democrat. Although he has been off the professional basketball court for several years, he continues to be a huge influence among fans and the public. He is the first among many celebrities who voiced out their support and excitement over the news that Hillary Clinton is bidding for the presidency again.

The Wrap reported that Hillary's daughter, Chelsea Clinton, actress Olivia Wilde, and Dustin Lance Black also showed their support.

Chelsea Clinton tweeted, "Very proud of you Mom!"

Wilde posted on Twitter, "Let the feisty debates begin! Everyone has a right to their opinion but apathy is for dickheads. #Hillary2016".

R&B singer Ciara and singer-songwriter Moby also reportedly forwarded their excitement over Hillary's bid.

Based on the same report by New York Times, 81 percent of Democrats stated that they will consider voting for her.
