Jordan Brand is fusing two of its most famous numbered Jordans in its upcoming release.
Kicks on Fire reported that the latest Jordan Brand Lab version is a mash up between the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 11. The pair will feature two unique colorways. There will be an all-black version and an all-red version. The all-black pair or Air Jordan 11Lab4 "Black Patent" is set to release on April 25, 2015. The company has yet to announce the official release date of the all-red model. Sneaker News reported that the retail price will be set at $225.
Based on photos presented by Sneaker Bar Detroit, elements of the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 11 are visible throughout the shoe. The most distinctive characteristic of the "Black Patent" model is its shiny appearance. The shoe's upper has a tonal patent leather all over, giving it the extraordinary sheen. The base and design is basically similar to the Air Jordan 4, presenting the distinct wings at the side, mesh on the tongue and sides as well as the visible Air Max unit. The entire shoe is black, except for the midsole, which is white. The shoelaces appear to be waxed, giving these added an sheen too.
The Jordan Brand label and logo on the tongue also featured a shiny black appearance. The Jumpman logo on the back appeared to be embossed, not stitched, and is also made of black patent leather. The outsole is solid black, featuring the same herringbone design throughout and stars on the toe portion. Another black Jumpman logo is located at the center of the outsole.
Sole Collector also featured more detailed images of the Air Jordan 11Lab4 "Black Patent", showing the embossed Jumpman logo on the tongue, black stitching throughout the shoe and solid black sock liner. The sock liner material seems to be made of soft leather. No photos of the insole have been shown, but it is expected to be black and will most likely show another Jumpman logo, similar to the original Air Jordan 4.
Overall, the Air Jordan 11Lab4 "Black Patent" is the Air Jordan 4 decked out in patent leather. Buyers are expected to acquire the sneakers for collection and casual purposes.
Based on the same report by Kicks on Fire, the upcoming sneaker is expected to sell well because of the inclusion of the Air Jordan 11 patent leather, which is one of the most famous pairs of all time.
