Three new villains will be featured in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" movie, Screen Rant reported. The news outlet said it is likely that Kylo Ren won't be the only bad guy in the movie as he has some new allies we should look into.
Screen Rant citing Making Star Wars said that three new villains are expected to come out in the seventh installment. But that does not necessarily mean that they all get the spotlight. Making Star Wars' Jason Ward says it is likely that only Kylo Ren would have the center stage.
"We have been asked about the villains from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. The good news? There's no shortage of villainy in this film. The bad news, from a certain point of view, is they don't have a ton of screen time. Kylo has a ton of screen time, he's our new main villain. Everyone else is a very far second to him," to quote Making Star Wars.
It has been revealed that Andy Serkis would be playing the role "Uber" and that he would only get around three scenes. Gwendoline Christie who is Captain Phasma in the movie on the other hand is a "Boba Fett type" who have little participation in the movie. However, Making Star Wars noted that her character would be expanded in the next installment.
It was also pointed out by Making Star Wars that there might be some connections between the heroes and Kylo. One rumored scene may suggest that Kylo could be Han Solo's son. That scene is when Kylo's ship shoots down the Millennium Falcon, causing it to crash. After that, Kylo and some stormtroopers board it and he goes to the cockpit to sit at the pilot's seat. Screen Rant noted that it is not surprising that some good "Star Wars" characters tend to turn into the Dark side.
Making Star Wars also revealed Domhnall Gleeson's character is an Imperial officer called "The General" who works for Uber. It is still unknown whether he has any connections with any of the other characters.
The movie's cast list is composed of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. The list also includes Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Andersen.
"Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" will be out in theaters this December 18. It is directed by J.J. Abrams.
