"Snow White and the Huntsman" actress Charlize Theron has recently talked about her character in the upcoming "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie. In a recent interview with Total Film (via Screen Rant), the actress revealed what she think of her Furiosa role. She said that Furiosa is very cool and is some sort of Max's girl version.
In talking about the character, she said, "George [Miller] really wanted a woman to stand alongside Max. And that was all I knew, and I just thought, 'Whoa, for a woman to stand next to him in that world, that would be pretty f***ing cool.' He was really kind of exploring women in this world at every age and there was something, selfishly, that I thought was almost better than Max. It's very hard for a woman to feel that way when she steps into a world like that."
Screen Rant noted that movies that show gender equality, specifically "testosterone-driven action" movies with some "ass-kicking woman" on the side are huge hits nowadays. Furiosa could indeed be an example of a well-known action movie heroine.
Total Film magazine (via Games Radar) also showed some new photos for the much-awaited movie. Here are some of them 1, 2, 3, 4.
Tom Hardy stars in this fourth installment movie as Mad Max Rockatansky, a role famously played by veteran actor Mel Gibson. The movie also stars Nicholas Hoult, known for the British TV series "Skins" and movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Hoult plays the role of Nux.

Here is a short synopsis of the upcoming movie taken from the film's YouTube and Facebook page: "Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows."
