The CONCACAF will finally finish its first round on Tuesday as only one team has been guaranteed a spot in the hexagonal round.
Jamaica vs. Antigua And Barbuda 7: 15 p.m. EDT
Jamaica is down to the last of its lifelines. After a 2-1 loss to Guatemala Jamaica is essentially at the mercy of the US vs. Guatemala match. If that ends in a draw, it does not matter how many goals Jamaica scores in this one because they will already be eliminated. But if one team wins in that match, the Jamaicans need to open up a four goal win over Antigua and Barbuda.
They can also enter into a one game playoff with Guatemala if the US beats Guatemala, Jamaica beats Antigua and Barbuda, and the combined goal difference of the two matches is three. Jamaica must also outscore Guatemala by 3 goals.
But the task is as difficult as it sounds. Antigua and Barbuda are out of contention, but they drew Jamaica last time the teams faced off. They will play for pride and make life difficult for Jamaica who will be on the attack the entire match.
