Ronda Rousey has cemented her status as the most dominant female fighter in the UFC after defeating Cat Zingano in just 14 seconds at UFC 184 on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
BloodyElbow reported that a few minutes after her defeat, Cat Zingano was approached by Joe Rogan to ask her how she felt after the fight. Rogan asked Zingano whats he thought about the outcome and what her strategy was for the title match.
Trying to fight back tears, Zingano replied as shown in the video, "She had my arm, and I saw her leg right there and I thought to grab it and hold it, and all of a sudden I'm tapping! But it wasn't [expletive... it was in but...ah [expletive]!"
She concluded, "I wanna do it again. It was in. She did it! She [expletive] won! She did it!" Zingano was clapping her hands to praise Rousey. "She did good. That was a good arm bar. She did it," said Zingano.
Rogan proceeded to ask what is going through her mind.
Cat responded, "I just wanna do it again. I wanna do it again. I wanna do it again."
Zingano had a tough two years prior to the fight. She injured her knee in 2013 which had to keep her off the Octagon for almost a year and a half. Because of the injury, she also lost her opportunity to become a coach on "The Ultimate Fighter" and a chance to fight Rousey for the title at that time. In 2014, her husband and trainer, Mauricio Zingano, committed suicide.
MMA Junkie wrote that Rousey remains undefeated with an 11-0 record (5-0 in the UFC) while Zingano is now 9-1 (2-1 in the UFC). Their fight turned out to be the fastest stoppage in a title fight. Previously, Rousey defeated Alexis Davis in just 16 seconds.
Based on a report by MMAWeekly, Davis tweeted her congratulations to Rousey. Davis posted, "..I am at a loss for words! Lol. Congrats to @RondaRousey".
Meanwhile, other fans and fighters also resorted to Twitter to forward their consolations to Zingano.
Fox Sports reported that Rousey said that she felt bad for Zingano and was even willing to fight her again out of respect.
Rousey said, "I said 'I'm happy to do this again anytime,' you know? It's hard to feel like you tested yourself when something like that happens, so I think if we fought again it would be very, very different, just like when me and Miesha Tate fought again."
