Steve Nash decided to answer a Twitter troll who had a few nasty words for him.

Yahoo! Sports reported that the 41-year-old Laker, who is out for the entire 2014-2015 NBA season due to a back injury, responded to a tweet from a rude Lakers fan.

Twitter user @DeanTheMadKing, wrote, "Yeah right your trash and washed up. You got injured in the offseason your bones are made of glass. @SteveNash."

@DeanTheMadKing continued to hack at the point guard, tweeting, "Sorry ass excuse for a PG."

He added, "You hurt your back carrying bag not playing ball. Your frail you and Bynum are on the same list."

Nash decided to take the troll down by tweeting, "I'm the hardest 41 yr old you know Brodie. Watch your mouth or Temecula."

The term "Temecula" has been used in social media networks for about two months already. Bleacher Report revealed that the reference was born when another Laker fan challenged one Twitter user to fight because the latter pointed out Kobe Bryant's dismal shooting attempts. The critic managed to let the Laker fan drive 35 minutes to Temecula in California for the challenge that would never happen because the critic was in Arizona celebrating Christmas with his family and laughing the whole time.

NBC Sports reported that Nash is still recovering from a damaged nerve that runs from his back towards his leg. He tried to fix the injury through rehabilitation and training but had to stay on the sidelines for the entire season. There is still no word whether he will be returning on the court in the next NBA season.

When it was confirmed in 2014 that Nash was going to be absent for the duration of the season, he stated in USA Today, "I definitely don't want to be a distraction, but I felt it best everyone heard from me in my own words."

He added, "I understand why some fans are disappointed. I haven't been able to play a lot of games or at the level we all wanted...."

Many Lakers fans expressed their frustration that Nash and Bryant had to be off the court for months, following their injury. The Lakers are among the worst teams in the league at present and is certain not to be in the NBA playoffs. The Los Angeles Lakers and its fans are not used to the situation, having been dominant in the past decades. As the team rebuilding phase continues, some fans are showing contempt towards the administration and players.
