J.J. Abrams could have just leaked out the opening details of the upcoming film, "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," Screenrant reported.
Abrams said Sunday that with all of the reports circulating the web regarding the plot of the film, he can confirm that some are true. But still, there are a couple of information that are not.
"We did the best we can to preserve the story for the audience, but it doesn't always work," the director told BBC News.
"There are a ton of rumours - some true, some false," he said. "But I'm grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie. I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself."
In the interview, he also called out Carrie Fisher who was recently honored in the Irish Oscar Wilde awards in Los Angeles saying, "Everybody who knows her well would say she's witty and brilliantly clever."
Fisher will come back to reprise her role as Princess Leia.
"I can't wait for you to see it. It's been a blast working on this and luckily we have an incredible post-production team," he said. "There are always challenges as you go but it's been a complete kick to put this together
With this claim, the fans have started guessing which ones are true and which are not.
Making Star Wars, the go-to site for all "Star Wars" information has just released a possibly true detail on the opening scene.
"There were a lot of changes and alterations to the story as it evolved. We got some things very wrong and some things very right. Now we're going to hopefully set it straight. This information is likely as concrete as we can get short of having read the script," the site stated.
They also revealed that the movie will start with a lightsaber in space.
"It falls to the ground in a savannah environment during the day. It is quickly discovered by a farmer named Naka. Naka accidentally ignites the weapon and starts a fire with it. At first he runs, but then turns around and obtains the weapon. I assume he snatches the weapon so it is not destroyed in the fire. Naka then takes the weapon to his elder called The Vicar."
Peo Dameron will eventually retrieve the lightsaber from The Vicar that night. However, this is the time when the Stormtroopers will arrive.
Other parts of the film are still unknown but at least, the beginning has been shed to light.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premieres on December 2015.
