As the NBA trade came to a close on February 19, several deals were closed in the final hour, which involved almost half of all the teams in the league.
Business Insider reported that Goran Dragic was traded by the Phoenix Suns to the Denver Nuggets, then by the Nuggets to the Miami Heat. Miami got both Goran and Zoran Dragic. Phoenix acquired Danny Granger, Justin Hamilton, John Salmons and two first round picks. The New Orleans Pelicans acquired Norris Cole and Shawne Williams.
Arron Afflalo was traded by the Denver Nuggets to the Portland Trail Blazers, together with Alonzo Gee. In return, Denver got Will Barton, Victor Claver, Thomas Robinson and a lottery-protected 2016 first round pick.
In the same report by Business Insider, a three-team deal was made among the OKC Thunder, Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz. Enes Kanter, Kyle Singler, D.J. Augustin and Steve Novak move to OKC, Utah bought out and acquired Kendrick Perkins, Grant Jerrett, rights to Tibor Pleiss, a protected future first round pick from OKC and a second round pick from Detroit. Detroit acquired Reggie Jackson.
CBS Sports reported that a four-team trade was done among the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics. Phoenix acquired Brandon Knight, Marcus Thorton and a 2016 first round pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Philadelphia got a top-five protected 2015 first round pick from the Los Angeles Lakers. Milwaukee got Michael Carter-Williams, Tyler Ennis and Miles Plumlee and Boston got Isaiah Thomas.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn entered into a deal, with Kevin Garnett returning to the Wolves and Thaddeus Young going to Brooklyn. Garnett previously waived his no-trade clause.
Tayshaun Prince was traded to the Detroit Pistons by the Boston Celtics. The Celtics got Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome in exchange, in a report by Yahoo! Sports.
JaVale McGee went to Philadelphia from the Denver Nuggets, together with Chu Chu Maduabum and a top-18 protected first round pick from the OKC Thunder. Denver got Cenk Akyol.
Yahoo! Sports also reported that the Houston Rockets received K.J. McDaniels and Pablo Prigioni from the New York Knicks and traded Isaiah Canaan and three second-round picks. The New York Knicks acquired Alexey Shved and a couple of second round picks.
The Sacramento Kings got Andre Miller from the Washington Wizards and traded Ramon Sessions.
Some of the trades can be described as shocking and will significantly impact the chemistry of various teams in the remainder of the 2014-2015 NBA season.
