The much awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 4 laplet might officially come out this July according to Kdramastars which cited an image leaked on 4Chan.

In the image, we see the February 13 post of an "Anonymous" user which stated, "Hold on to your f*cking hats because Microsoft is looking into putting out the Surface Pro 4 on July 2015. My sources say that Microsoft will reveal it on GDC (Game Developers Conference) and they will use that and a gaming PC plus an Xbox to show how powerful Windows 10 and DX12 is."

Does this leaked image confirms earlier speculations about the new device being the perfect tool for gamers? Note that our previous report citing the Christian Today had revealed that this particular speculation stems from the idea that Microsoft would use "high-end internal specs" in its new device and that it would integrate it to the Xbox streaming feature of Windows 10. Should this integration happens, users will now be allowed to stream and play Xbox One games through this tablet anywhere anytime.

Meanwhile, Air Herald said that we may expect the new laplet to come out sooner. It also noted that Microsoft's recent move to cut the prices of the Surface Pro 3 may actually indicate the nearing launch date of the new device. Note that the prices of the Surface Pro 3 have been cut by at least $100.

What Can We Expect From Surface Pro 4?

The most prominent rumor about the new laplet is that it would come out in two sizes -- a 13-inch or 14-inch one and an 8-inch one. The smaller version is allegedly Microsoft's way of competing with Apple's iPad Mini.

Aside from this, it is expected that the laplet would be more powerful than its predecessors due to its new processors, the Broadwell chips. This is a huge upgrade from the Haswell processors that the Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3 have. Gospel Herald notes that these new chips would be "powerful" and "portable" and that it would be fanless. These chips are also believed to consume less energy than the Haswell chips.

The Motley Fool earlier argued that the new laplet would just be an "enhanced Surface Pro 3." It insists that the only change it sees to be included in the new Surface Pro 4 is its chips. With more developments seen on the way, it is likely that the new device would be short-lived, it added. Though some are also optimistic saying the new laplet would probably be LTE-capable.

As for the RAM, Gospel Herald bets it would be upgraded to 16 GB. Note that the current Surface Pro 3 has an 8 GB RAM. Microsoft has not yet to confirmed these rumors.
