More Android users are now getting a taste of the much awaited Android L 5.0 Lollipop update. The most recent recipients of the update are users of LG's current flagship device, G3, and of the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
LG G3 Lollipop
According to Android Authority, the update has indeed finally arrived to LG G3 users in the US as AT&T has already rolled out the update on its subscribers. The report said the Lollipop version that was released over-the-air (OTA) was the 5.0.1. It is 689.53 MB in size. The software version is D85020f while the build number is LRX21Y, as revealed by Android Police.
You can check for the update by going to Settings then to General then proceed to About Phone and finally to Software Update.
As for other LG G3 users, Sprint subscribers could expect to get the update by this February 16, according to the leak cited by Techno Buffalo. LG G3 Verizon and T-Mobile subscribers on the other hand could expect the update some time soon.
The rollout was indeed announced by LG and AT&T earlier. Before January ended, LG USA Mobile announced through a photo shared on Twitter that G3 users in the US are finally going to receive the Lollipop update. In the photo, there were 10 lollipops having the letters spelling out the words "COMING SOON." A sentence which states, "Life with your LG G3 is about to get sweeter," also accompanied the photo.
AT&T meanwhile made the announcement on Twitter on January 23. It announced on Twitter, "Sweet! Coming soon: The #LGG3 is updating to Android 5.0 Lollipop." The Lollipop update has also rolled out to other LG G3 users in other countries. The update has already been received in South Korea, other European countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, and UK. The update has also reportedly rolled out in India.

Samsung Note 4
The Lollipop update has also rolled out on the recently released Samsung Note 4. According to Sam Mobile, the 5.0.1 version of the update has finally hit Note 4 users in Poland. Based on the screenshot provided by the news outlet, the update has been received by a Samsung device with model number SM-N910C, pertaining to the Note 4.
The report noted that the update is not yet available on Kies so users have to rely on the OTA. You can also check it by going to Settings then to About phone and then to Software updates. Finally, click Check Now.
This is also not surprising since Samsung itself teased about the arrival of the Lollipop update on its latest phablet almost four months ago. In its tweet, it showed a photo of the new device with a wallpaper of three swirled lollipops. It had the caption, "Anyway you look at it, the #GALAXYNote4 Quad HD Super AMOLED display is pretty sweet. #NoteTheDifference." However, we still don't know yet when it will hit Note 4 users in the US.
