Although it has not yet been confirmed whether the rumored "Grand Theft Auto 6" game would indeed come out, many speculations about it have continuously bombarded the web. One of the major discussions pertains to the game's location. According to the February 10 report of the Inquisitr, there have been rumors that the "GTA 6" would take place in Vice City.
If this proves to be true, fans would once again see the Vice City as Rockstar Games has already released a "GTA" game that has been set in Vice City in the past. Several other locations are also being eyed for the new game installment. While others say that it will be a fictional city inspired by New York or Miami, some say it could either be in Paris, London, Brazil or Las Vegas, as reported by Venture Capital Post.
Also, there was this suggestion from Movoto that the next "GTA" installment should feature Portland, Oregon. It stressed that the place is the perfect setting for the game due to a number of reasons. Based on statistics made by Movoto, Portland has at least nine gun stores, over 80 different strip clubs, many shops, and six police stations, making it the ideal location for the "GTA 6."
Leslie Benzies, Rockstar Games president, acknowledged the importance of the location of the game. "Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas," Benzies was quoted by Inquisitr as saying.
Benzies also revealed earlier that they already have plans for the upcoming game. "We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA VI will be, but we've got some ideas...It comes from the idea first...The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in," he was further quoted in a Metro report.
Female Protagonist?
Meanwhile, Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games, aired the possibility of having a female game character in the future. "In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course. We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things we always think about," he was quoted as saying by Christian Post.
"Grand Theft Auto VI" is expected to be released in 2017.
