Bethesda has announced on Tuesday, February 10, that it will host its first E3 Conference this June. Here is its official statement posted on its blog:
"We're hosting our first-ever E3 Showcase in Hollywood, CA on June 14th and we've saved some seats just for you, our fans. Feel like a celebrity by attending our most exciting event yet, live and in-person! Keep an eye out - in the coming months we'll be sharing details on how you can register to attend.
"Can't make it out to LA to join us? Don't worry, we have you covered. On Twitch.TV/Bethesda (Follow here), you'll be able to tune in on 6/14 and watch every moment live!"
According to its event teaser poster, Bethesda is "almost ready for its close up." Could this mean that a big announcement is going to be made during the event?
Game Rant noted that Bethesda is not known for promoting their works during game trade events. Instead, they opt to showcase them during gaming award shows and through video teasers. However, this may not be the case this time. The news outlet bets this could be a perfect timing for Bethesda to announce about the next installment of the post-apocalypse video game series "Fallout."
Remember that Bethesda Game Studios game director and executive producer himself announced in 2010 that they are indeed pursuing two big projects. The first was "Skyrim" while the other has not yet been revealed. Game Rant also stressed that it would be time to release a new installment since "Fallout 3" is already more than six years old.
Several rumors about the next "Fallout" game have consistently popped out. Another recent rumor comes from Master Herald which points to a PAX East March announcement, following Bethesda vice president Pete Hines' exchange of tweets with fans. In one of the conversations, Hines said that he "hopes to find time to go to the event this year." Thus a PAX East announcement for the new "Fallout" game is still very unsure. The news outlet also ponders on the idea that the game would take place in Boston.
It has been predicted earlier that the new "Fallout 4" game would come out this year, according to Kotaku's Jason Schreier (via International Business Times), but Bethesda has remained mum regarding the matter.
If the "Fallout 4" announcement does not happen, then gamers can still expect other big game revelation from Bethesda. Game Rant says we could expect Bethesda announcing the arrival of the sequels of "Prey" or "Dishonored." Also, expect more "Elder Scrolls Online" surprises at the event.
