Liverpool and Tottenham will battle at Anfield on February 10 as the two teams aim to place in the Champions League.
Midfielder Lucas Leiva will miss the game due to thigh injury, but forwards Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling will return. Adam Lallana will also play after missing the game on February 7 while striker Daniel Sturridge is set to start, based on a Yahoo! Sports report.
Mirror reported that Brendan Rodgers considers Daniel Sturridge as the top striker in England, despite Harry Kane playing excellently in recent games. Kane has been a great finisher but Sturridge scored 37 goals in 55 games. Kane has been the focus of much talk after the Spurs won over Arsenal on February 7.
Rodgers said about Sturridge in the same Mirror report, "For me, there's not anyone better than Daniel Sturridge. He's got everything in his game if he's playing consistently. His goalscoring record, his pace, his power, he's got everything and, as an English striker, there's no one better than him."
Rodgers added in the same Yahoo! Sports report, "They're playing very well, got a lot of young players and the big difference is the introduction of two homegrown players (Mason and Kane). He's (Kane) got different types of finishes. When you play a high-pressure game, you need your striker to run and press. He leads the line very well in that aspect. You have to pay attention to threats. He is good around the box and he's always looking to get a goal. But our focus will very much be on our own game and we've got a very talented group here who have been performing well and we just need to find that clinical edge at the top end of the field."
Mauricio Pochettino also said t Yahoo! Sports, "It will be a special game, but a tough one. We need to be ready because it will be another three important points. It's a short time between the two games, but we are ready and focused. Liverpool is in a very good moment, they have very good players but I think we'll be ready to compete in what will be a very tough game."
BBC reported that Liverpool has been undefeated in eight league games while Tottenham only lost once in 12 games. It is expected to be a great match but Liverpool are the favorites entering into the game. Liverpool lost four of their last 11 games at home but only lost once in their last 20 Premier League home games against Tottenham.
Bleacher Report wrote that live streaming will be available via BT Sport app and online player in the United Kingdom and via NBC Sports Live Extra in the United States.
