Fans of the post-apocalypse video game series "Fallout" have been waiting for the next installment for more than six months now. It looks like that the wait is finally over as game developer Bethesda Softworks is rumored to reveal some good news this March.

According to Master Herald, there is a possibility that Bethesda would announce the arrival of "Fallout 4" at PAX East in Boston this March.

The Fuse Joplin says the same thing citing YouTube user MrMattyPlays. The report said that the odds of the "Fallout 4" being announced during the PAX East only became higher when Bethesda vice president Pete Hines revealed on Twitter that he will not attend the Game Developers Conference this year which is slated to be held in San Francisco from March 2 to 6.

Last Thursday, February 3, Hines tweeted that he is travelling to the Left Coast. A fan then replied saying, "@DCDeacon see you at the GDC :)." But Hines clarified that he is "not going to GDC."

However, when another fan tweeted that he is looking forward to seeing Hines at the PAX East, Hines replied, "[H]oping I can find time to go this year. Not entirely sure at this point." Another fan even invited Hines to "fight" him at the event. But Hines kind of said no. "[P]retty sure if I do go to PAX I can find better things to do, thanks," to quote him.

Though it is not yet clear whether the game would definitely be announced during PAX East, Master Herald says that doing so would put "Fallout 4" at the center stage. If the announcement indeed happens, then it would be considered as the "biggest" revelation during the event and it would really gain a lot of exposure, especially that no other studio is expected to make an announcement this big.

International Business Times noted that the new "Fallout 4" game is expected to come out this year following the predictions made by Kotaku's Jason Schreier. Bethesda however remains mum about the speculations.

As for the game setting and location, Master Herald reported that there are speculations that it will take place in Boston. If this happens, gamers could expect some changes in the game.

Cinema Blend says there have been reports that Bethesda has been working on a major project since February 2012. It notes that this could be the "Fallout 4," though it is also likely that this pertains to "Elder Scrolls 6" which is also under the same studio. The news outlet is also leaning on to the Boston setting citing some leaked "Fallout 4" casting documents. Bethesda has not yet confirmed or commented on the said rumor.
