Recent rumors are suggesting that some characters from the TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." would appear in the upcoming "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" movie. The news comes from Cinema Blend which cited a Reddit user named "the_marvel_intern."
These "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." characters are Agent Melinda May, a character being played by Ming-Na Wen; Daisy Johnson or Quake who is also Skye, played by Chloe Bennet; and Agent Phil Coulson, being played by Clark Gregg.
Here is the_marvel_intern's original post in the thread: "In Age of Ultron, cast of Agents Of Shield show up. May, Daisy, Coulson, etc."
Note that the_marvel_intern said "etc." Who else do you think would show up in the movie? Could it be Leo Fitz? Or maybe Jemma Simmons? We don't know yet for sure. However, Cinema Blend says if these rumors are indeed true, fans should not expect them to play significant roles.
Aside from this, several other speculations about the movie have earlier arose. One of which points to a mystery woman seen in the movie's trailer. Check out the mystery woman at the 0:33 mark of the video clip here:
Cinema Blend's Adam Holmes listed at least five characters who might be behind that robe. It noted that it might be Moondragon or Heather Douglas, a martial artist and a telepath known for betraying Mentor, the father of Thanos. Second is Hela, known as the "Asgardian goddess of death" and the ruler of the realms of Hel and Niffelheim. It could also be Jocasta, "Marvel's version of Bride of Frankenstein" and Ultron's wife. It could also be a Dora Milaje, bodyguards of Wakanada's leader Black Panther. Or it could also be an original character to the movie.
A lot of speculations and rumors have continued to hound the movie but everything should be taken with a grain of salt as none have been confirmed just yet.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is a sequel to the first "Avengers" film which is considered as the "third highest-grossing film of all-time." It is based on the Marvel comic book series "The Avengers," which was first published in 1963.
The movie will again feature original cast members: Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Paul Bettany will portray the role of The Vision, Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill. There are also newcomers: Aaron Johnson as Pietro Maximoff and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff. It will hit theaters on May 1.
