Anticipation is high for Apple's upcoming iPhone 6S and if rumors are to be believed, it's coming soon, meaning this year before the iPhone 7 comes out, The Fuse Joplin reported.
The iPhone 6 is only a few months old but many already want to know the fate of the upcoming iPhone 6S and when they can get their hands on it. Well, rumors have it that consumers can expect the iPhone 6S sometime this year along with the iPhone 7, just with a few months in between models.
The iPhone 6S is said to be rolled out in the spring, with its successor coming out sometime after September, the month when they usually announce major updates or releases.
Reports from Value Walk also mention somewhat similar dates, reporting that between the iPhone 6S and 7, one will be coming out in June and the other possibly sometime in September or October. However, the report also claimed that there were experts saying the while the iPhone 6S may come out this year and the iPhone 7 next year.
That still puts the release date of iPhone 6S this year.
While some are talking release dates, there are others who just want to know what exactly they'll see when they get the iPhone 6S.
Considering it's an 'S' model, it's likely that the iPhone will be similar to the original iPhone 6, albeit with a few tweaks here and there, as Apple will no doubt reserve the major upgrades for the iPhone 7, according to PC Advisor.
The iPhone 6S will probably look like the iPhone 6, with a similar chassis, color options and a screen size of 4.7 inches with a similar resolution, though it might end up sporting a new sapphire glass. Also, one rumor claimed that it will actually sport a 5-inch display with 400 ppi, while operating with the iOS 9.
There are also reports of a new processor, possibly an A9 chip, and a RAM of up to 2GB. There's also a Touch ID fingerprint scanner that might be integrated to either a home button or the display itself. The camera might end up being upgraded, with rumors claiming that it might be a 21 MP rear camera.
There are also rumors of a gaming joystick support via the phone's Home button after reports of an Apple patent appeared online, according to Mac World. There are also rumors of wireless charging capabilities and a reversible USB charger.
As for the price, there have been no estimates for the iPhone 6S so far.
