The chances of the new Apple Watch getting a March 2015 release date grew even bigger with the confirmation of a known analyst, Ming Chi Kuo. According to the recent report of Mac Rumors, Kuo, who works for KGI Securities and has provided predictions on other Apple devices before, claimed that the shipping of the new watch may start by as early as March this year.
The analyst estimates that a total of 2.8 million Apple Watches are expected to be shipped by the first quarter of this year. However Kuo admitted that he sees a "constrained supply" of the watch in the coming months due to the slow production of some of the watch's key components.
Kuo said that fans could expect an Apple announcement detailing the specs and other features of the new device before the release date. The analyst also reiterated his earlier prediction that the new 12-inch MacBook Air Retina which would boast of its fanless design and new Intel Core M processors would be launched this first quarter.
Apple has remained quiet as to when it will officially release the watch which was announced in September. In its website, it just said that the device will be out in "early 2015." However there were rumors that the device might come out in spring.
