Little has been known about the much-awaited "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie. So to give us more details about it, "Argo" and "12 Years a Slave" actor Scoot McNairy gave some hints about his role.

"It's definitely 100% a character I've never played and I can't speak too freely on it, but yeah, getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it - my head was in a different place but I'm really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film," he told USA Today.

To give us more, here's a photo from Batman-news.com showing the actor at the set of the "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie.

With all these details laid down, Cinema Blend gave some possible names for McNairy's character. It speculated that he could be The Flash. However, this is also unlikely with Ezra Miller joining the cast. It is also speculated that he could be Metallo, Superman's nemesis. Some said he could be Daily Planet photographer Jimmy Olsen. Though nothing is clear and certain to date, there is also a possibility that his role is an original to this film.

So what do you think of these revelations? Could you guess who's the character McNairy is playing? Share us your thoughts!

Meanwhile, Henry Cavill, who plays the role of Superman in the movie, earlier assured fans that the movie will be a good one. In his interview with the Daily Mail (via Coming Soon) during the recent British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Tea Party., he said that since the movie is directed by Zack Snyder, it is expected that the movie will be a "visual spectacle" and a "cinematic history." He also said he expects it to be "exciting."

In a separate interview with The Anglophile Channel during the same event, Cavill revealed that he would love to play the role of Superman over and over. "As many as it takes! I love the character. I love working with Warner Bros. and what they're doing with it, and so fingers crossed I'll be able to tell the story for many, many years to come," to quote him.

Here's the actual video footage:

During the said event, Cavill also stressed that the movie will not be split into two parts as rumored earlier.

Aside from McNairy and Cavill, the movie cast list includes Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Holly Hunter, Jason Momoa, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg, Laurence Fishburne, and Ray Fisher. The movie is written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. It will reportedly hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
