IGN reported that the comics have been developed to lead to a big 12-part "Secret Wars" event mini-series, written also by Hickman, and is bound to be launched in May 2015. The storylines in both comics, "Time Runs Out", showed the characters eight months into the future where the New Avengers are being chased by the Avengers, supported by S.H.I.E.L.D. As the two teams battle, there will be hints of "incursions" that will possibly destroy the universe and set the ground for the "Secret Wars", which will feature various Marvel universes.
Comic Book Resources wrote that Mike Deodato will be in charge of the art on "Avengers", while Kev Walker will be handling the art on "New Avengers" in their final issues. IGN also reported that Esad Risbic will be providing the art for the Secret Wars series. Although the two titles are coming to an end, fans can still look forward to more exciting storylines in the "Secret Wars". It is expected that a new writer will come in after "Secret Wars". Marvel is yet to confirm who when they make another announcement on January 20, 2015, regarding "Secret Wars".
