Alexandra Kogut, the 18-year-old State University of New York Brockport student who was murdered Saturday left what some are calling an ominous tweet about her boyfriend who later brutally murdered her.

On Sept. 2, the accused murderer-boyfriend Clayton Whittemore, 21, tweeted: "Saturday can't come sooner enough," reports ABC News. The two attended separate colleges. Kogut attended State University of New York Brockport campus and Whittemore attended Utica College.

"So excited for @Whittemore21 to come to Brockport Saturday and bring me half moons," Kogut wrote in September, according to the Utica Observer Dispatch.

Kogut's last tweet just hours before her boyfriend allegedly beat her:

"Should've known."

ABC says Whittemore confessed to killing his girlfriend, but on Saturday pleaded not guilty to second degree murder charges. He was captured at a service station early Saturday morning 110 miles east of Brockport.

Brockport Campus Police Department representative Robert Kehoe said Kogut suffered severe trauma to her upper body.

"It's tragic when anyone loses their life," Kehoe told ABC News affiliate WHAM-TV. "When a young lady who's a college student and apparently in a safe environment, is brutally murdered as this young lady was, it's certainly a tragedy for her family and friends and the entire Brockport college community."

Kogut's friends and family have created a Facebook page, Remembering Alex Kogut, Her family a statement asking for privacy and support.

"Alexandra Kogut was a bright, beautiful young woman who was thrilled to be beginning her college education," the statement said. "Her lovely and sweet demeanor was truly infectious and she will forever be missed."

ABC says Whittemore remains in the custody of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon. Police have not released a motive for the murder.
