Which smartphone does James Bond carry? Apparently, it is the Android-based Sony Xperia TL.
AT&T, together with Sony, unveiled the new Xperia TL smartphone Monday, stating that the new phone is going to make a cameo in the upcoming James Bond movie, "Skyfall."
The Xperia TL smartphone, which was debuted earlier this year at the IFA trade show in Berlin, sports a 4.6-inch 720p HD display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and the latest generation 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor for improved battery efficiency and fast graphics performance.
The phone will receive the Jelly Bean update soon, the company assured. The most noteworthy feature of Sony's new smartphone, however, is its 13-megapixel camera with quick launch feature and 1080p video capturing capacity.
"This high resolution camera captures quality images swiftly with its quick launch feature, going from standby mode (sleep) to first shot in just 1.5 seconds, making sure life's unexpected moments are not missed. Plus, both the rear and front-facing cameras deliverHD recording capabilities for vivid video capture on the go," the company mentioned in a written statement.
The Sony phone will also support features like "One-touch" connectivity through NFC, MHL and AT&T's 4G LTE connectivity. Moreover, the latest Android smartphone will be loaded with three of the Japanese outfit's media apps -- Walkman, Movies and Album. The phone will also feature exclusive ringtones, wallpaper, scenes footage, interviews and clips from the upcoming Bond movie. In addition, it comes preloaded with an Album app, which will let you find more than 25 editing options and pin any geo-tagged photos onto a traditional or satellite map view.
Neither Sony nor AT&T have disclosed the pricing and release date of the Xperia TL.
