The disorderly conduct of one woman during the Puerto Rican Day Parade in Philadelphia and a punch to her face by a police officer as a result was caught on tape and then made available on YouTube.

The Parade took place on June 10th of this year, but the video was published on YouTube just yesterday - September 30 - and as a result is drawing the attention of various media outlets as well as the Hispanic community.

The video displays how one woman is brutally knocked down by a police officer after the latter believes the woman is responsible for throwing water at a group of police officers including himself who have apparently gathered to appease parade disturbances.

According to the video, it seems that the unidentified woman is not responsible for throwing the water but may have been mistaken to have done so since she was holding a water bottle.

The police officer who struck her, on the other hand, is being identified as Lt. Jonathan Josey II, 39, by sources according to Philly.com.

Josey is a Philadelphia police supervisor and so far the corresponding police department seems to have taken notice of the video and an investigation launched.

So far, only the woman was charged for the incident.

The video started going viral today at about 3:00 p.m. EDT which at that point had 3,000 views. As of 4:40 p.m. EDT, it has already received 98,300 views.
