Apple is expected to be bullish in 2015, featuring a number of gadgets that will up the ante for the competition.

1. Apple Watch

The Verge reported that the Apple Watch has been highly anticipated since the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show or CES. The wearable tech is expected to release in the spring of 2015, although other speculate that the earliest release month will be in March.

Based on a report by The Inquirer, the Apple Watch will be available in either a 1.5-inch screen or a 1.7-inch screen, featuring a display resolution of 272 x 340 and 312 x 390 respectively. The watch will feature a new iOS version. It can support touch navigation but the user interface may also be managed via the "Digital Crown". There is a mechanical wheel that lets users set the time and scroll and browse through the UI. There is also a "Taptic engine" which improves mapping and allows Apple Watch users to notify others wearing the same device. Siri will also be present, so users can use voice control.

Other specs to expect include "Force Touch" on the screen, Retina display resolution, tough sapphire glass screen protection, Bluetooth 4.0 support and Magsafe wireless charging support. The Apple Watch is expected to cost around $349, based on an article by Mac Rumors.

2. iPad Pro

In the same report by Mac Rumors, the iPad Pro may also release in middle to late 2015, featuring a bigger screen size of about 12.2 to 12.9 inches. The device may also be referred to as "iPad Air Plus". The tablet is believed to appear much like the iPad Air 2, with a thin chassis and slim bezels. Some features to expect are 2 GB of RAM, 802.11ac Wi-Fi capability, Touch ID and either an A8X iPad Air 2 processor or the new A9 processor. The new device may also feature ultra high-resolution display, stereo audio, microphones and speakers.

3. Macbook Air Retina

The laptop is expected to include a Retina screen to compete with other HD devices. The device may feature the new Broadwell CPU, allowing it to provide high-definition displays at the same time provide about 10 hours of battery life, based on a report by Mac World,. The same article noted that this model would have been announced in 2014, but battery issues related to what a Retina display demands may have halted the revelation. There are also talks that Apple might depart from its traditional silver livery and feature three colors namely Silver, Space Gray and Space Grey. The display is expected to measure 12 inches.
