There’s no doubt that South Korean singer-rapper Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has become the viral hit of the summer. The rapper’s video has garnered over 290 million hits on YouTube, breaking a Guinness World Record on the video-sharing site for being the most liked video of all time.

Since its July 15 debut, “Gangnam Style” has not only gone viral worldwide, it has inspired a multitude of parodies and tributes. Psy has appeared on a multitude of American shows, including the Ellen Show, the Today Show, GMA, Extra and SNL.

‘Gangnam Style’ is currently No. 2 on iTunes Top 100 Songs chart and No. 1 on iTunes Top 100 Music Videos. The song has also reached the No.2 spot on Billboard's Top 100 and No.1 on Billboard's Top Digital Songs.

Chicago was among the first cities to tackle the Korean megahit after it became viral in the U.S. The video has over 3.7 million hits on the video-sharing site.
