"Sons of Anarchy" star Johnny Lewis was found dead this morning in Los Angeles in what appears to be a bizarre Hollywood murder mystery.
Lewis, 28, was found dead on the driveway of a home in the affluent neighborhood of Los Feliz., while the 81-year-old homeowner, Katherine Davis, was found dead inside, TMZ reports.
Sources told TMZ that police believe Lewis was on drugs-either PCP or meth-at the time he allegedly killed Davis before falling to his death from the roof of the three-story.
"It appears that some type of altercation occurred inside the house, resulting in the death of the woman, then this individual ran outside and had an altercation with a couple of neighbors," LAPD Commander Andrew Smith told reporters.
Police also told TMZ that before Lewis died, he was in a physical altercation with a house painter and another man, where Lewis used a 2x4 as his weapon.
Police, responding to a call from neighbors saying they heard screams for help from a woman inside the house, found Katherine Davis, 81, dead in what a police spokesman called a "gruesome scene," reported CNN.
CNN said that autopsies will be conducted today on the bodies of Lewis and Davis.
"Sons Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter took to Twitter to express his remorse about the "tragic" events.
"I wish I could say that I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not," Sutter tweeted. "I am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path. Yes, it's day of mourning, but it's also a day of awareness and gratitude. Sadly, some of us carry the message by dying."
Lewis appeared in 26 episodes of "Sons." He also appeared as Dennis "Chill" Childress on the T.V. show "The O.C."
