Halo 4 is only two months away from release and the news is starting to brew around one of the fall's hottest titles.
The latest news from developer 343 Industries is that the title is complete and will head over to Microsoft for Certification. The developer also announced that popular enemy The Flood will also return to the franchise as part of the game's multiplayer called Flood. Flood mode will support up to 10 players. Two will start out infected and their goal is to infect the others. The remaining players must seek out the two infected and kill them before they become infected.
The Flood appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Wars. The parasitic aliens are driven by a need to infect other living species they encounter. The enemy was well received in the original game and has been recognized as some of the best video game villains of all time.
In addition to the return of The Flood, 343 Industries also showed off new vehicles including a troop carrier called Mammoth and another called Mantis. They also showcased a new multiplayer map called Complex.
Halo 4 has been in development for 3 years and has had over 300 people working on it. It will finally be released for the Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012.
