More devices are getting a taste of the recently released Android L 5.0 Lollipop update.
According to Android Central, Sprint has started rolling out over-the-air update for the Nexus 5 device. Download the OTA here. For more details, visit Sprint's website.
Other Nexus phones that have recently received the new Lollipop update are Nexus 4, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10.
Earlier, Google Nexus said on Twitter that the "Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be delivered over-the-air to [users] devices automatically." The new 6-inch Nexus 6 packed with Quad HD display and a 13 megapixel camera and the 8.9 inch Nexus 9 tablet on the other hand were both released with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in them.
Aside from the Sprint Nexus 5, the Lollipop update was also received by LG G3 users in Europe recently. "Owners of LG G3 in Europe must be relieved to know that their phones will finally get a taste of Lollipop. Yep, Android 5.0 software is coming to the LG G3 D855 via the D885520e update," Android Community reported. It noted that the Lollipop update came last December 12.
The report added that LG G3 users in other countries such as Austria, Baltics, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and United Kingdom will also get the Lollipop update very soon.
"To check if Android 5.0 Lollipop is supported, you can check the LG PC Suite Software or the LG mobile Support Tool. If you see the Android 5.0 L update, this means you can use the LG Mobile Support tool to upgrade," it reminded users.
An LG statement earlier said that its G3 device was the first one to get the new OS. It started rolling out the update in Poland in mid-November.
LG said the new Lollipop update brings a new design, language, shadows, and animations. New lock screens will also be available. Also, expect for better notifications as there will be a new layout and color scheme. It will also have the Android Runtime (ART) software.
Also getting the new Lollipop update is the Android watch Moto 360, XDA developers said. The Lollipop comes with new watch faces and several other improvements.
Wearers can get a chance to choose from several new watch faces on the Google Play Store.
