A sentimental X-Men fan favorite character that has appeared in past X-Mfan faen movies will not be in the latest installment of the movie series.

Or at least that's what the actor, who usually plays the character in X-men movies, thinks.

Colossus will not be in "X-Men: Apocalypse," reports Cinema Blend.

"Colossus, a.k.a. Peter/Piotr Rasputin has been a part of the X-Men franchise for years now. But it looks like the metal-covered mutant won't be featured in what is being called the concluding entry to the trilogy started by 2011's 'X-Men: First Class," details the report.

No less than Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in past X-Men movies, confirmed that he will not be in the upcoming movie.

He was asked by a fan on Twitter on whether he will be in "Apocalypse," Daniel replied: "Don't think so.."

Two days later, he got more questions along the same line and Daniel posted: "Been getting a lot of questions about Colossus being in 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' I honestly don't know either way.."

At least in his second reply, he was no longer sure that Colossus will actually not be in the upcoming X-Men movie.

"Colossus really didn't have all that big of a part in any of the most recent X-Men films so 'X-Men: Apocalypse could actually be a good time to give (him) his due," opines Cinema Blend.

"With the time stream changing in ('X-Men: Apocalypse'), it would make sense that his character wouldn't show up like we've already seen him since the last movie. All his scenes took place in the future," points out Enstarz.

Still, the report was hoping that Daniel Cudmore could be casted in the movie possibly as a young Colossus that would require a good amount of make-up work.

Cinema Blend reports that "X-Men: Apocalypse" shall have a 1980s setting and as such, there will likely be changes in the appearance of casts of characters from the original X-Men trilogy.

Prior to the Colossus rumor, there have been reports that Jean Grey will have a big role in the upcoming X-Men movie. And so do Cyclops, which both turned out to be false, the report stated.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters on May 27, 2016.

Directed by Bryan Singer, the cast of characters of "X-Men: Apocalypse" include Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique, Evan Peters as Peter/Quicksilver, Chaning Tatum as Remy LeBeau/Gambit, Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr/Magneto, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast, and James McAvoy as Charles Xavier/Professor X.
