The crew of the much-awaited movie "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" has just finished filming in New Mexico.
According to the report of the International Business Times, the several pictures from the film's directors have been uploaded online to reveal that the crew has officially accomplished a lot.
On Wednesday, December 10, "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder posted a photo on Twitter showing a road along a savanna in New Mexico. It was captioned with, "Just wrapped an amazing few weeks filming in New Mexico! Awesome crew+locations! Great experience. Thanks New Mexico!"
Albuquerque Journal reported that it has been confirmed by the New Mexico Film Office that same day that a part of the upcoming film was really shot there. It said that it had already finished its "principal photography" there. It has also filmed in Michigan and Illinois.
The report added that the film roughly spent $13 million in New Mexico alone. The film also hired at least 200 New Mexico crew members during their production. According to KVIA, the total budget for the film is at around $131 million.
Nick Maniatis, director at the New Mexico Film Office, was quoted in the Albuquerque Journal report saying, "We are thrilled that the towns of Playas and Taos ... could play host to such a large-scale production. In fact, they built one of the largest set pieces in New Mexico film history...We are pleased with the number of New Mexican residents and suppliers that the show was able to utilize during their stay."
A week ago, cinematographer Larry Fong posted on Instagram a photo of a snowy mountain with an unknown location. He captioned it, "Farewell to the #landofenchantment."
Fong also posted a teaser video on Instagram which he captioned, "That's a wrap."

Many fans were quite disappointed with the video as it was unrecognizable at first glance. But one commenter with username "tharealchrisgrams" said that the video shows an arm and a leg.
To which Fong replied, "@tharealchrisgrams Right you are. I just happened to look down at my sleeve and notice the cool visual of snow falling onto it. I post what I think are interesting images, not things that will get me fired. Seems like people see what they want to see."
Fong also clarified that the image in the video was not Batman's costume. To quote him, "Would the amazing @michaelwilkinson really create such a sloppy costume? Would the studio allow me to post such a photo? Of course not."
