Despite the heartbreaks she's been through and the rumors continuously hounding her and her career, "Blank Space" singer Taylor Swift remains happy.

According to a spokesperson of the singer, Taylor remains "happily single," debunking rumors linking her to several guys including ex-boyfriend One Direction member Harry Styles, 5 Seconds of Summer singer Michael Clifford, and 1975 lead singer and guitarist Matt Healy. She was even linked to her friend fashion model Karlie Kloss. The spokesperson was also quoted by People saying, "It is disappointing that her one birthday request was ignored."

The singer meanwhile used Twitter to air her views about the dating rumors thrown at her. "As my 25th birthday present from the media, I'd like for you to stop accusing all my friends of dating me. #thirsty," she said in a Twitter post on Monday, December 8.

Taylor will be celebrating her 25th birthday on December 13. The singer has recently been named as one of the eight candidates for the TIME's 2014 Person of the Year title. She has also received several other awards including 2014 Billboard Woman of the Year and Barbara Walters's 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014.

Taylor also told Mirror that she is not in love with someone right now. To quote her, "If I was in love with someone right now, I don't know how I would handle everyone else weighing in on our stories, because when you're in a relationship there are a lot of secrets and a lot of sacred moments that you don't want to divulge."

"I am 24, perfectly happy being alone...One of the reasons I'm perfectly happy being alone is that no one gets hurt this way," she added.

In an exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan UK last October, Taylor said that she keeps on telling her friends and acquaintances who want to set her up with some guy that she is happy and currently not in the mood for some romance. The singer was hailed as Cosmopolitan UK "new cover goddess" for its December issue. The magazine was out on out November 4.

Taylor also said that this time, she would no longer sacrifice her independence and allow anybody say something about her.

The pop star was also quoted by Cosmopolitan saying she is really happy being alone right now. "It'd take someone really special for me to undergo the circumstances I have to go through to experience a date. I don't know how I would ever have another person in my world trying to have a relationship with me, or a family. The best answer I can come up with now is: go at it alone. Life can be romantic without having a romance. I'm very attracted to how happy I am now," Taylor said.

Other guys who were linked to the singer include her "Valentine's Day" co-star Taylor Lautner, singer songwriter John Mayer, and actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
