Are you ready for the thinnest Samsung phone ever?

Rumors say that the soon to be released Samsung Galaxy A7 will be even slimmer than its brothers Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 which were only unveiled recently.

A report published by Christian Today citing China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center said that the new Samsung Galaxy A7 will only measure 6.3 mm, making it the slimmest Samsung phone to date.

To note, Samsung the Galaxy A5 and the Samsung Galaxy A3 only measure 6.7 mm and 6.9 mm thin, respectively. A statement issued by the Korean electronics giant earlier quoted the company CEO and head of IT & Mobile Communication JK Shin saying that the two new devices "offer a beautifully crafted full metal unibody, slim design, superior hardware and the best possible social media experience." He added that the two devices specifically cater to "young and trend conscious consumers."

The new Galaxy A device with model number SM-A7009, Christian Today notes, is made specifically for the Chinese market. It said it is expected to hit the markets this month.

As for the specs, the new device is expected to measure 5.5 inches with 1,080p display, CNET said. It will have a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will also be running the Android 4.4.4 KitKat and have a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

However, Christian Today predicts that the rear camera will be at 13-megapixel with LED flash. As for the processor, the device is expected to be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor at 1.5 GHz.

As for comparison, the two other A devices -- Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 -- are packed with 5MP front-facing camera, LTE Category 4 standard, Super AMOLED display, Adaptive Display technology, and Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor, the company press release revealed. They are set to be out in the Chinese market in November this year. It added that the devices will be available in several colors including Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold.

Phones Review earlier reported that although the new Samsung Galaxy A7 was not unveiled together with the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 last October, the new Samsung Galaxy A7 will definitely be shown soon and "will arrive in the very near future" as the device has finally passed through FCC.

Sam Mobile said there is a possibility that the new device was delayed due to signal strength issues which were earlier reported in both of the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 devices. Samsung however has not announced anything yet.

These new A devices, Phones Review said, are Samsung's way to be able to get back on its place, following declining profits. It added that the company has also mulled to lessen phone releases next year.
