After nine whole seasons, some wouldn't expect 'NCIS' to bring any excitement to their tenth season but they would be wrong. According to some cast members and writers, season 10 of the crime drama is expected to be filled with action, intriguing crimes and even some relationship drama.
Actress Pauley Perrette, who plays Abby Sciuto, told E! Online that audiences can expect to dive right back into the explosion that rocked the season nine finale for the premiere episode on September 25. She said, "We literally bring the audience back with season 10 just moments after [the explosion]. The fans get to live with the characters in the aftermath of that explosion, try to find out who is hurt, who is there, what's happening. And then even the psychological effects of something that traumatic."
Perrette added, "It's quite a ride. It's fantastic. We're so excited about it. We can't wait for the fans to see it."
Fellow NCIS star, Michael Weatherly, who plays Anthony DiNozzo, also shared some secrets of the premiere with E! Online. "It's going to be an awesome thing. I'm stuck in an elevator with the beautiful Cote de Pablo. Tony and Ziva stuck in an elevator. TiVo that," Weatherly said.
Writer Gary Glasberg elaborated on Tony's development during the upcoming season with Entertainment Weekly. "I think Tony's arc continues where we left it [last] season. I think Tony is trying to figure out what he wants from life. We had the E.J. thing, but I think it's time for Tony to maybe find someone special. We'll see. He's doing some thinking," he said.
The upcoming season will also feature a heap of both new and recurring guest stars. TV Line reported that Robert Wagner will be returning for his fourth appearance as Anthony DiNozzo, Sr. and that Daniel Luis Rivas will return as Abby's younger brother Kyle.
According to TV Line, three other guest-star roles will be featured this season. Season 10 of 'NCIS' will include Dr. Blackwell, a space geologist who assesses materials the feds bring him, Ellie, an upper-middle-class woman who blames herself for her father's death 10 years ago but is told revealing new information, and an aging one-hit wonder from the 1970s who spent his wealth in the 1980s and has evaded creditors since.
'NCIS' season 10 premieres September 25 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
