Barry Burton, the famous Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S) operative, will return in the new "Resident Evil: Revelations 2" as its second lead character, Capcom confirmed through a statement posted on its website.

This came after the game's second trailer was unveiled on Tuesday, December 2.

"Following a lead in the search for his missing daughter Moira, he arrives on ominous shores. Her fate uncertain, either hope or despair await him on the path ahead," a short description from YouTube said. "RER2 heralds the long awaited return of the legendary Barry Burton. Having survived the Raccoon City incident, he's back in the field as a BSAA advisor on a mission to rescue his missing daughter. He is her only hope," it added.

Capcom wrote that while Barry embarks into finding his missing daughter, he meets a new character named Natalia Korda. Natalia is a little girl imbued with the power to feel and sense enemies and hidden items. Barry's combat and anti-bioterrorism skills and Natalia's powers will be used by players to survive this remote prison island. It added that a Raid mode content will be included in each episodes of the game.

Capcom also noted that there will two new enemies in the game. They are The Rotten and The Revenant. The Rotten possesses bones that are visible through their bodies. They love to hunt the living. The Revenant, on the other hand, are made from parts of human beings that have been sewn together.

The episodes of the "Resident Evil Revelations 2" will be released on a weekly basis. They will cost $5.99 or £4.99/€5.99 each.

Anime News Network reported that the game will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

According to the table released by Capcom, the first episode of the game will be released on February 17 in North America and on February 18 in Europe. The second episode of the game will be released on February 24 in North America and on February 25 in Europe. The third episode of the game will be out on March 3 in North America and on March 4 in Europe. The fourth one will be out on March 10 in North America and on March 11 in Europe.

Capcom also announced that players can also get the complete season on a bundle for only €24.99 or £19.99. The package offers "two additional spin-off episodes that focus on telling the side stories of each of the two new Resident Evil characters: Moira Burton and Natalia Korda." An additional Raid mode character called Hunk will also be included in the bundle.
