The release of the much-awaited "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" for PS4 may be announced in December.
According to a report of Kdramastars, "Uncharted 4" will likely be unveiled during the two-day PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas in December this year.
Playstation said the event is "massive" and is dedicated to their fans who will be able to experience more than "400,000 square feet of the best PlayStation games" during the event.
Playstation, on its website, said that the action/adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment America is scheduled to be released next year.
Playstation said "Uncharted 4" centers on retired fortune hunter Nate who gets back into the "world of thieves" and embarks on a journey focused on a fabled pirate treasure.
The game is now available for pre-order through the Playstation store or through retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and even Amazon. It is priced at $59.99 and the full game will be available on December 31, 2015.
It said that when Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Michael Ephraim was asked about it, he said that he doesn't know.
"We don't know, that's the honest answer. We're very excited about it and I think that title will be massive. It's a very popular franchise; in fact it's our number one first-party franchise," he was quoted as saying. He however said that the game will be the "highlight of the year" for the company.
During an interview with Game Crate, Naughty Dog's co-president Evan Wells said that they are planning to show more of the "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" "very soon."
"It's coming along nicely. We've been hard at work since E3 and all I can say is that we'll be having some stuff to show you very soon," he was quoted as saying.
Sportskeeda meanwhile reported that the game will be available by summer next year.
Christophe Balestra, Naughty Dog co-president told Sportskeeda that they themselves are really excited about the game.
"It's like getting a new toy. We're very excited about the possibilities. After several years working on the same machine you kind of just run out of steam and you feel like you need something new just to be able to express yourself and push it to the next level. So I think PS4 came at the right time for us - it's definitely opening lots of doors to us that we didn't have before," he was quoted as saying.
