The recent iPhone 5 craze probably has T-Mobile users feeling a little left out. Sure, they got the Galaxy S3, but it looks like they will miss out on what's shaping up to be the biggest consumer electronics device of all time. Luckily, a new report indicates that T-Mobile will be getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sometime this fall.

Website SamMobile reports that their sources have confirmed that U.S. carrier T-Mobile will be receiving a version of the Galaxy Note 2 with the model number SGH-T889.

"Our sources report that the device will be having the same specifications as the international variant and will be running on T-Mobile's HSPA+ network. The device will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed," SamMobile stated in their report.

These specs will include a massive 5.55-inch Super AMOLED display and a 1.6GHz quad-core processor. The Galaxy Note 2 will sport an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. The phablet will also come with an improved S Pen stylus, which Samsung hopes will appeal to the creative side in consumers.

Samsung has not released any information regarding the official release date, U.S. pricing, or list of carriers in the U.S. that will offer the Galaxy Note 2. Reports, however, peg the release date at around October 21, not too long after the international mid-October launch. There is also evidence that Verizon and Sprint will be joining AT&T and T-Mobile has Galaxy Note 2 carriers. AT&T exclusively carried the original Galaxy Note through much of its lifetime.

Critics thought the original Galaxy Note would be too big and unwieldy, but it went on to become an unexpected success, selling over 10 million units in its lifetime. Samsung expects the sequel's sales figures to double that of the original's despite the increased screen size.
