Ronda Rousey might be retiring from professional MMA soon.
The UFC women's bantamweight champion said in a report by MMA Fighting that she has vital decisions to make.
She said at the press conference on November 17, "After Feb. 28, I have a lot of important decisions to make." She also told print reporters that she has a lot in her hands at the moment, inside and outside the Octagon.
Rousey said in the same MMA Fighting report, "I've got everything getting thrown my way right now. I'm in a fortuitous situation where I have so many options, that I could take very many different paths right now. And which path I choose will very much depend on the manner in which I beat Cat Zingano."
MMA News reported that Rousey told Karyn Bryant that her bout against Cat Zingano at UFC 184 will be her toughest challenge. The two female fighters will be featured in the co-main event on February 28, 2015 at UFC 184 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. For the men's division, the main event features Nick Diaz versus Anderson Silva.
Cage Rank predicted that Ronda Rousey has a 69% chance of winning against Cat Zingano. Experts and fans estimate that she will win in the first round via submission, which is one of her specialties, being a jiu-jitsu-based fighter. Rousey has the advantage in terms of fast finishes, better takedown defense and offense and better submission offense. Rousey is also younger at 27 years old, compared to Zingano, who is 32. Zingano has the advantage of being the more powerful puncher and a longer reach of 178 centimeters, as opposed to Rousey's 168 centimeters.
Rousey appeared in "The Expendables 3" together with Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme and other action stars. After she defended her title in December 2013, Warner Bros. showed interest in putting the undefeated beauty on the silver screen.
In a report by UFC.com, the studio is negotiating for Rousey to star in "Athena Project" by Brad Thor. She is also set to become one of the female leads in the upcoming "Entourage" film. She is also set to appear in "Furious 7" to be released in 2015.
Variety wrote that Rousey shot "The Expendables 3" and "Furious 7" in September 2013 while training for her rematch against Miesha Tate, which she eventually won in December. Ronda generally does not discuss outside business while training for a fight but she had to "go into overdrive" to ensure that she does not compromise her film roles as well as her championship title.
