The iPhone 5's pre-orders started today but its official release takes place in the next two Fridays, and the LTE availability is an aspect Apple hopes to bank on.
Apple Inc.'s Senior Vice President Phillip Schiller spoke about the distribution dates during the Sept. 12 keynote presentation in San Francisco. Schiller stated that they are working with carriers all over the world on providing one of the newer aspects for the iPhone 5, which is the 4G LTE.

"By the end of this calendar year, we hope to be in a hundred countries, 240 carrier partners around the world. This will be our fastest phone rollout ever," said Schiller.
For US customers, prices for the iPhone start at $199 for 16GB. $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB when signing a contract with AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon.
