"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," the latest and likely the last installment to the very successful action adventure third-person shooter video game, will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 in the summer of 2015.
While it did not specify the exact release date for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," Naughty Dog, the developer of the game, confirmed the game's roll out next year even as it promises gamers with new thrills and twists in the latest story, report Sportskeeda.
Game publisher Sony Computer Entertainment hinted that the latest installment to the Nathan Drake series may also be its last, added the report.
Christopher Balestra, co-president of Naughty Dog, shares his thoughts about "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" being exclusive to the PS4.
"It's like getting a new toy. We're very excited about the possibilities. After several years working on the same machine, you kind of just run out of steam. PS4 came at the right time for us. It's definitely opening lots of doors to us that we didn't have before," Balestra said.
The Naughy Dog exec also assured that they are doing their level best out of PS4 to give fans and gamers what they want and expect from the game, cites Sportskeeda.
A little over a month ago, Naughty Dog studio head and co-president Evan Wells revealed that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was coming very soon, cites Gamespot in an October 9 report.
"It's coming along nicely. We've been hard at work since Sony's E3 2014 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014 held on June 10 to 12 at Los Angeles, California) and all I can say is that we'll be having some stuff to show you very soon," disclosed Wells then.
Naughty Dog announced "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" during the PS4 launch event in November last year. But it was only during Sony's E3 event in June this year that the company released a couple of teaser trailers including some concept art and a close-up of Nathan Drake, details Gamespot.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," which promises to be an edge-of-your-seat roller coaster ride, tells of a more personal story that focuses on who game hero Nathan Drake is as a person.
"It's his (Nathan Drake) greatest adventure yet and will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves," described Wells during the E3 2014 event in June.
