It is not just the gaming consoles that will be enjoying significant price cuts come Black Friday. Prices of video games will also drop as retailers take advantage of the immense popularity of gaming these days.
Kmart, for one, shall be offering a number Xbox 360 games for as low as $9.99 that also includes "Grand Theft Auto V" and "Destiny" in the morning of November 27 as part of its Black Friday morning doorbusters, reports Polygon.
The retail chain will be splitting its Thanksgiving sales into morning and night. It will be offering special deals from 6 am to 5 pm for the morning shift of November 27 and then from 7 pm through 3 am for the night portion, details the Inquisitr.
For its Black Friday night doorbusters, Kmart shall be offering PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games for as low as $24.99 and up to $49.99 only, notes Polygon.
And these are not just run-of-the-mill video games but quite popular too. The list includes "Destiny," "The Evil Within," "Call of Duty: Ghosts," or "Wolfenstein" for PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox One plate, on the other hand, includes "Kinect Sports Rivals," "Ryse," "Forza 5," and "Dead Rising 3" which shall be priced at $29.99 each, added the report.
Meijer will also be capitalizing on the popularity of video games during its three-day sale from November 27 to 29.
"Once a year, we pull all the stops and give you three days of the best deals you'll find on the best Christmas gifts in your favorite departments. But you better hurry! You won't see deals like this for another year," states Meijer in its website.
Meijer will be offering select video game titles for 3DS, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 for as low as $15 a piece. The list of games also includes "Grand Theft Auto V" for PS3 and Xbox 360. To prevent some buyers to make a quick buck out of the deal, Meijer is limiting purchase of every buyer to two per title, notes Polygon.
Amazon, the popular online shopping store, is not about to let the big Black Friday retail sale pass by without its share of huge discounts for video games too.
Instead of waiting for November 27 to offer its discounts on items, Amazon has announced price cuts for the entire month in what it term as "Countdown to Black Friday" deals.
The online store shall have video game deals every day until the 27th but on November 10, the site was offering "Titanfall" for PC for only $10, as well as a number of PS4 games for only $24.99 including "Killzone: Shadow Fall," cites Polygon.
