The singer of "Wrecking Ball" is reportedly dating the son of "The Terminator." Sounds like a combination that can really bring a house down, don't you think?

Word got out that Miley Cyrus was dating Patrick Schwarzenegger after the singer was spotted coming out of the latter's Los Angeles apartment on Halloween day, reports Fox News.

Patrick is the 21-year-old son of actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, the niece of John F. Kennedy.

When the young couple was seen and snapped at, both were in their casual attire, sporting sweatshirts. Miley also complemented her super casual look with cut-off jean shorts over a pair of black tights and a beanie, details Entertainment Tonight.

News.com.au disclosed that the pair is also keeping things casual for the time being and are not "officially together."

An ET source, however, disclosed that Patrick's family is reportedly not in favor of him dating Miley because the singer might lure him into the Hollywood spotlight.

It also added that Patrick's family prefers one of his exes over Miley who will be turning 22 this month.

Patrick, who is a student at the USC and a model, is not exactly new to Hollywood and being thrown into the limelight.

"He once made out with Ariana Grande in her video for "Right There," inspired by Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet," notes ET.

On the contrary, News.com.au does not share the rumored notion that Patrick's family is not happy about him dating Miley.

Apparently, before the two were spotted hanging out in Patrick's apartment on Friday, Miley was with Patrick and his mother Maria, along with a small group of friends, when they visited the Universal Haunted Hayride the day before, reports the Australian website.

ET also noted that this is not the first time that Patrick and Miley have been linked. "In 2011, Patrick told Details magazine that the singer was his celebrity crush, saying, 'My eye though is set on Miley.'"

Since parting ways with ex-fiancee Liam Hemsworth last year, Miley Cyrus has kept her love life on low-profile mode, though everything else she does makes the headlines, notes ET.

After her breakup, Miley has been linked to a number of men, including music producer Mike Will Made It, but none of those rumored relationships prospered to the so-called next level, observes News.com.au.

Miley Cyrus or her representatives have yet to make an official statement regarding the issue.
