Not counting "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron," which is due to hit theaters on May 1, 2015, Marvel Studios has announced a total of nine movies starting from 2016 to 2019, details Time Dispatch.

That means that a number of Marvel superheroes would be very busy for the next couple of years. And so do some of their super villain arch-nemesis.

Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor would surely be busy. But among the villains, it looks like Thor's half brother, Loki, would become the busiest of them all.

The Huffington Post reports that Tom Hiddleston, the actor who plays Loki, has just confirmed his role in the third installment of the Thor series titled "Ragnarok" and also the two-part Avengers 3 movie.

Kevin Feige, President of Production of Marvel Studios confirmed Loki's appearances and big roles in the three Marvel movies, even citing: "Let the mischief begin!" reports Screen Crush.

Hiddleston has already appeared in the first two Thor movies and also the first Avengers film.

Loki will also be appearing in "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron," albeit briefly. No less than Actor Idris Elba, who plays the guardian god Heimdall in the Thor movies, confirmed his and Loki's brief, but meaty, participation in the second Avengers movie, reports IGN.

"I'm in Avengers. And I'm doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and they're like, [whispers] - Aren't you [meant to be] in Ibiza?" Elba said in an interview with the Telegraph.

Elba was alluding to a trip that the three of them made to a nightspot in Ibiza while filming, notes MSN News.

Elba's disclosure is a complete turnaround from the statement issued by Tom Hiddleston one year ago that Loki would no longer be in the second Avengers movie, Screen Rant reported.

After playing a major role in Thor and The Avengers movies, Loki, according to writer/director Joss Whedon, will not be back for the sequel of The Avengers, cites the same Screen Rant article.

Apparently some kind of winds of change has swept the Marvel cinematic universe and it seems that Loki will again be playing crucial roles in "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" and "Avengers: Infinity Part 2."

Loki is returning to the third Thor movie to unleash chaos again in Asgard by freeing a number of villains from imprisonment, bares The Huffington Post.

Time Dispatch reports that "Thor: Ragnarok" will hit theaters on July 28, 2017, "Avengers: Infinity Part 1" on May 4, 2018, and "Avengers: Infinity Part 2" on May 3, 2019.
