Dogs and Secret Service agents caught a man who climbed over the White House fence in Washington.

According to several reports, the 23-year old man from Maryland was identified as Dominic Adesanya.

"Dogs got him," Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan was quoted in the Reuters report.

The incident was confirmed by a video, which Reuters said, showed that Adesanya was surrounded by Secret Service agents on the north lawn of the White House. It was also showed that the man tried to fight back, punching one of the dogs that attacked him. The incident has also prompted the White House to lock down the area for more than an hour.

The alleged video was uploaded by a certain Harper Poppy on YouTube. The video, however, is just another video taken from one of the broadcast news reports of Fox News channel. You can check out the video here.

At least two of the dogs sustained injuries so they were brought to a veterinarian, Donovan said in the Reuters report.

The incident took place around 7:16 p.m., the AFP report said quoting an unnamed Secret Service spokesman.

The spokesman was further quoted in the report saying that Adesanya "was immediately taken into custody by Secret Service Uniformed Division K-9 teams and Uniformed Division Officers."

The spokesman also added that "charges are pending" though the man was "unarmed" when he was arrested. The man has also been transported to a local hospital for "evaluation," it added.

An AP report said that President Barack Obama was inside the White House when the incident happened.

About a month ago, another man identified as Omar Gonzalez jumped the White House fence. Gonzalez who carried a knife with him was able to enter the mansion. The incident led to the resignation of then Secret Service Director Julia Pierson.

A federal judge this week, delayed Omar Gonzalez's arraignment, citing questions regarding the jumper's "mental fitness."

AFP report said Gonzalez has been charged with "two counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding US Secret Service agents."

Gonzalez, as revealed by AFP, is an "Iraq veteran allegedly suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder." Obama and his family had just left the White House when that incident happened, it added.

This latest security breach, AP said, happened on the same day that a gunman attacked Canada's parliament. The attack, a separate AP report said, left at least one soldier dead. He was later identified as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo. He was posted at the National War Memorial when he was shot. The masked gunman on the other hand was identified as 32-year-old petty criminal Michael Zehaf-Bibeau. The attack unfolded before 10 a.m. when Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was addressing a caucus. He was able to escape. Harper called the latest attack the "second terrorist attack in three days."
