Rockstar Games, the developer of the upcoming video game 'Grand Theft Auto V', made a clear statement that there will be no pre-release Beta test.
The developer posted on its official website, RockstarGames.com, "Please note: There is no pre-release 'Beta' test for Grand Theft Auto V. If you see ads or solicitations to join a beta program, beware as this is likely some type of online phishing scam." At the bottom was stated, "For all the official details on Grand Theft Auto V, stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire."
Rockstar indicated that it previously posted the same announcement in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 versions. The same still applies for the new version on PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC.
'GTA V' for PS4 and Xbox One is set to be available in stores on November 18. PC gamers will have to wait until January 27, 2015 for their version.
Luke Reilly, games editor at IGN.com, wrote that GTA 5 has been one of the most addicting console games of 2013 and in the same light, is still highly anticipated by gamers everywhere in 2014. The game is an open world action-adventure set in fictional San Andreas, Southern California. The game design allows players to freely explore the huge area, getting on various vehicles and accomplishing major and minor missions along the way.
According to Express.co, gamers who pre-order the PS4 or Xbox One version of GTA V can get some bonuses. Players will receive $1 million of virtual currency, $500,000 for the story mode and $500,000 for GTA Online. PlayStation 4 gamers will get another $300,000 if they pre-order before November 4, 2014. Gamers can conveniently transfer their current characters from PlayStation 3 to PS4. The game will require 55GB of free space to save files.
Rockstar talked about the changes in the next-generation consoles, "A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more."
The company added, "Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come."
